The Panasonic DMP-BD80 Blu-ray player utilizes Chroma Processor Plus technology, a high-technology image processor which enables the Panasonic DMP-BD80 Blu-ray player to produce clear, vivid colours that match the original film. This high-quality image is complemented by a high-definition audio decoder, featuring Dolby® Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio Essential and Dolby® TrueHD, which allows the user to take full advantage of the excellent 7.1 channel surround sound now offered by Blu-ray discs.

The Panasonic DMP-BD80 Blu-ray player allows the user to directly connect to the internet and enjoy content on Amazon VOD and YouTube™. It also has an SD memory card and USB slot, allowing the user to view digital still images and video recorded with an HD camera.
High precision 4:4:4 signal technology is employed by the Panasonic DMP-BD80 Blu-ray player to produce stunning images. As with most Blu-ray disc players at this price point, the Panasonic DMP-BD80 Blu-ray player provides a 1080p/24p output to reproduce cinema images from the Blu-ray Disc in their original form without the need for conversion.

The Panasonic DMP-BD80 Blu-ray Player has been designed to reduce power consumption. The player uses Auto Power Stand-By which turns off the Blu-ray player when you return to standard TV operation. The player uses advanced electronics which reduces the number of internal parts required. This technology helps lower power consumption and allows for a much more compact case design.
